Visit to NIMHANS

National Institute of Mental Health and Neuroscience (NIMHANS) had organized Science Day at NIMHANS Convention center on 12th and 13th Feb 2020. Biology students of Grade 11 attended the Science exhibition on 12th Feb to enhance their interest and understanding related to various departments under Neuroscience.

Students visited stalls with displays on various aspects related to developing brain, Psychology, Cognition, Sleep, Anger, Stroke, Cancer, Brain infection, Biomedical engineering. They experienced the thrill of removing brain tumor by simulation through microsurgery and were excited holding the real specimens of brain and various visceral organs.

They were thoroughly engaged by participating in mind games, activities while also interacting with experienced faculty of the institute. They were also sensitized on mental health matters and related concerns. This experience enabled them to enhance their knowledge on the recent studies and developments while also explore various career opportunities in Neuroscience.
