Career Counselling for Commerce Students

On 6th of June 2024 the regional head of The Institute of Cost Accountants of India and an esteemed alumnus of NPS Rajajinagar (Batch of 2002), Mr Abhijeet S Jain, held a conference on cost accounting and the various possibilities, opportunities and options that can be pursued after 12th.

Amongst the various topics discussed some of the more noteworthy ones were- Importance of setting goals and targets early, beginning one’s courses in advance to possess an edge over one’s competitors, maximizing the utilization of our time by pursuing degrees such as CS, etc in conjunction with our main degrees (LLB,CA, etc.)

A detailed explanation was provided on how to go about pursuing one’s career options, costs and procedures involved and time required to achieve each possibility. This was later followed by an engaging Q & A session with the students.

Useful insights were provided on topics such as different aspects of the degrees and steps involved, the starting packages offered and the additional courses available to be pursued in conjunction with basic degrees.

This conference successfully broadened the perspectives of all those present and provided insights into never-before envisaged forums. The event concluded with Mr Abhijeet presenting a memento of appreciation to commemorate the occasion.
