KG Visit to the Library, 2023

The tiny tots of National Public School, Rajajinagar embarked on an exhilarating adventure to the library in the month of November. The kindergarten students were given the delightful task of choosing their own books to read. They not only indulged in the joy of reading but also embarked on ‘Word Discovery’. The class teachers noted down the new words which the students encountered in their chosen books. The librarian provided insights into the purpose and functioning of a library. She familiarized the students with the expected behaviour in a library setting through colour-coded traffic signals. Following the visit, the librarian extended the learning experience by sending a list of recommended books to the parents. These young ones carried with them not only the tales they had discovered but also a promise to make sure the library stays a wonderful place for discovering interesting things and using their imagination.
