Independence Day

The significance of the freedom struggle and the sacrifices that were made to attain the same cannot be reiterated enough – that was the spirit of the assembly showcased by students of Grade 9 to celebrate India’s 73rd Independence Day. A recitation of Sanskrit shlokas extolling Mother India and speeches in Hindi and Kannada evoked a sense of patriotism among the students. A synchronised dance paid tribute to the martyrs who keep our country safe. The program ended on a melodious note with a medley of patriotic songs, culminating with the much celebrated Vande Mataram.
