Career Counselling - Armed Forces

On the 31st of October, students of grade 9 to 12 were privileged to be part of a career counselling session conducted by Brig. CK Ramesh. Starting off with a brief introduction to a career in the armed forces, Brig. Ramesh went on to talk about the ways of joining the armed forces and clearing the Sashastra Seema Bal interview in particular.

Emphasising primarily on the ethos of equality and the disciplined way of life of the Indian Armed Forces and a career of Respect, Pride and Honour, Brig. Ramesh spoke about the various reasons one should join the armed forces and the benefits it offers. He then went on to speak about various methods of entry, including examinations such as NDA and AFCAT. He explained to the students that the SSB interview is a test of personality, focussing on testing one’s knowledge, skill and aptitude along with various other important factors like self-confidence and attitude. The session also helped the students understand the selection process better.

Everyone has heard that the armed forces is more than just a career, it is a way of life. Brig. Ramesh truly resonated these words. He certainly inspired the students to pursue a career in the armed forces and serve the country with pride and honour.
