KG - Fruit Fiesta and Veggie Vibrant

In August 2024, National Public School’s kindergarten students participated in an enriching three-week event titled “Fruits Fiesta” and “Veggie Vibrant,” designed to foster a greater appreciation for fruits and vegetables. The celebration began with "Fruits Fiesta," where students brought in various fruits from home. They engaged in lively discussions about the different types, colours and benefits of these fruits. The focus then shifted to vegetables during the second week of “Veggie Vibrant”. Students showcased a range of vegetables and shared interesting facts about them. The final week, the culmination of the event, featured a combination of both fruits and vegetables. Students brought snacks that incorporated these healthy foods and enjoyed a fun fruit and veggie chain game, which helped them reinforce their knowledge in a play way method. To conclude the celebration, students created heartfelt thank you cards to express their gratitude to farmers and shopkeepers, highlighting the importance of acknowledging those who contribute to our food supply. Overall, the event successfully combined education and enjoyment, fostering a greater understanding of healthy eating and appreciation for the food production process among young learners.
