Sports Day - GET FIT 22

Sports do not build character, they reveal it.

On the morning of 20th August 2022, NPS RNR’s school playground was filled with fervour and excitement experienced amidst thrills, shrills and cheers. On the occasion of its MY Annual Sports Day, the school was overflowing with great zeal, passion and excitement. The guests of honour for the day were school alumni Ms Shailaja Shankar and Mr. Vikas Vasu. The programme began with hoisting of the school flag by Principal Ms. Malathy Narayan, after which she declared ‘Get Fit 2022 – Annual Sports Meet’ open.

The Inter-House parade witnessed students marching in tandem to the rhythmic beats of the young school brass band. This was followed by various sports displays by each House, depicting its colour and characteristics. The much-awaited relay races revealed the competitiveness and sportsmanship among students. The participants were guided ably and encouraged by their Captains and Vice captains at every stage. Phoenix House was adjudged the Best Marching Contingent and the Commandos of Centaur House walked away with the Best Display trophy. Sports achievements by our sports teams in the short span of two months were highlighted, followed by the vote of thanks.
