Independence Day

The Independence Day with a difference, due to the pandemic, was celebrated with the same enthusiasm and patriotic fervour as the previous years, on 15th August 2020. The National flag was hoisted on the school grounds, a recording of which commenced the virtual celebrations, followed by a rendition of the National Anthem by students of Grades 3-7 in a capella style. Performances by students of Grades 1-5 were woven into a tapestry of entertainment, replete with patriotic spirit, displayed in the form of a speech, medley of dances and a patriotic song. The students of Grade 9 also displayed patriotism in different ways – songs, instrumental music, dance, speeches and ‘The Freedom Quiz’. Creative posters revealed true allegiance to the motherland and the program concluded with the National Anthem.
