NPS Rajajinagar students pledge for safe roads

On January 13, 2024, the students of National Public School, Rajajinagar, were a part of on a significant initiative alongside the traffic police and school teachers – a program titled ' Road Safety Month,' held at Kanteerva Stadium. Students were escorted to the Kanteerva Stadium by the traffic police and teachers of the school.

The event unfolded with a meticulously coordinated parade by the students of different schools, setting the stage for the inauguration of Safety Month by the honourable Chief Minister of Karnataka, Mr. Siddaramaiah, and Deputy Chief Minister Mr. D. K. Shivakumar. Post-inauguration, the ministers addressed the gathering, elucidating crucial safety rules.

Students were enlightened on fundamental traffic guidelines, with an emphasis on their role in fostering accident-free roads. Each participant received an informative pamphlet detailing road safety measures.

An awareness rally was also a part of the event. The stands were decked with yellow-coloured signboards with slogans on road safety printed on them.

The convergence of students and the traffic police facilitated a profound understanding of the challenging role the police play in ensuring road safety. This interaction proved to be a mutually enriching experience, leaving both sides with smiles and valuable insights.

To sweeten the return journey to school, the students were treated to delectable savouries by the traffic police. This event, by instilling a sense of responsibility and imparting practical knowledge in students, not only provided a place for community engagement but also contributed significantly to the start of the creation of safer roads for the future.
