Dr Dheepa Srinivasan addressed the students of Grade XI on the topic – ‘Engineering – The Everyday and the Extraordinary – Milestones in Innovation’. The interactive presentation was interspersed with interesting videos which piqued the students’ interest in the applications of science in the ordinary, like a tube of toothpaste and in the more complex, like building aircrafts and rockets. The students were also exposed to different areas where engineering merges with other branches of science, like medicine, health care, etc. They had many queries for the presenter and were left wanting for more!
